About Us- Event Planning for You!

Annette Marquez founded The Perfect Occasion with the mission of providing excellence in comprehensive event planning services to small and medium sized companies and non-profit organizations.

Annette holds a BS degree in Restaurant Management from Kansas State University and a Meeting and Event Management Certificate from Dakota County Technical College. Her years of experience in restaurants as well as business management make her uniquely able to understand your event planning needs. Recognizing that elements of successful events are constantly changing; she keeps up to date by regularly attending workshops, continuing event industry education, and most importantly networking with event and meeting industry professionals to bring fresh ideas to your events.

Annette is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the Meeting Professionals International. She is also a member of the Tourism and Hospitality Advisory Group at Dakota County Technical College. She is a part time instructor at Independent School District 191 Community Education, teaching classes in Event Planning for the non-professional. She speaks to event management classes at Dakota County Technical College.
